Software Installation

Software Installation
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything on my own blog so I figured it was time for just a bit of a rant about - “software installation”.  By the way, if anyone is curious about what brought on this rant or just wants to follow up with where I have been socially active lately, please check out the following:
Autodesk Discussion Groups: (Discussion Group Page)
Comments Regarding:  Revit Software   Comments Regarding:    Installation Issues
Comments Regarding:   Loading or Borrowing Licenses  Comments Regarding:  Failed License Acquisition

Anyway, besides being active on the software page I obviously have been caught in limbo here with spending time trying to get downloads and then trying to load and install the software. It seems the only good thing lately is you can get most software online these days. The torture of the actual installation is still the same as the days of loading Floppy Disk, CD or DVD’s:

 AutoCAD ver. 2.51 floppy disk
Generic CAD Installation Book 1990
AutoCAD Rev.10  (3D Screen View)
AutoCAD Rev.10 Training Book

AutoCAD Rev.12
AutoCAD Rev.12
