Bad Rejection Letter

O.K....
Awhile ago, I blogged about our crisis mode  and how it has officially kicked in. Despite the fact that Hilary, (my better half) has been out of work for some time, and even though she has exhausted her unemployment extensions, up until now she was optimistic. That was before this last rejection letter.

Today from a retail store (Trader Joes) she received a rejection letter. It’s the kind of thing she gets from most of the jobs she applies for these days. NOTE, IT’S NOT WHOM SHE RECEIVED THE LETTER FROM, IT’S THE WAY IT’S WRITTEN, (if the picture is viewable, please read it).

I'm definitely not the best person to ask to proof read a letter. That being said, how does any “H.R.” person, or department,  allow a letter to go out to a person that they interviewed, with the wrong name, wrong spelling of the town, wrong zip code and grammatical errors?

I’m surprised Hilary even received the letter. So… after reading this letter, seeing all of these mistakes, she said to me “you really mean to tell me I’m not qualified to work as an administrative assistant?”
Again, if the picture or PDF file is viewable, please read it, (and yes, that is bowlers tape covering up some other personal items).

  3. FYI...some comments that have been sent to me "Have Not" been published. I don't know why anyone would defend Trader Joe's for allowing such a rejection letter to go out this way but that seems to be the case based on some of the comments sent to me. Must be a sign of the times that we as Americans, do not care about the work we do. Oh well.... :(
