American Pickers, or Storage Wars?

Since when did trying to get work become like American Pickers, or Storage Wars?
I'm still looking for new work based on a commission system.
It seems as if the work is out there, since I keep getting a request for work and or quotes.
One of the other little things that seem to annoy me is all of these advertisers, or marketing firms that claim they can help me get business but the want a fee for the leads.
Seems as if all the want is my money, never mind about the type of job lead you get.
It just seems like a waste of time to pay for a lead if you don't even know what it is you are bidding on.
So.... when did trying to get work become like American Pickers, or Storage Wars?

  1. Why do I get the impression from "American Pickers" (you can pick your friends, you can pick your nose, you can't pick your friend's nose) that Frank is a total douchebag, user, a-hole??? A classic sociopath who's only motivation is to pick the collectors' collection to his best advantage...who's every night's stay in another hell-hole Motel 6/Scottish Inn is a justification for screwing a collector out of their just reward for saving a collectible from the landfill? What a totally appropriate premise for a 2013 basic cable dawg food "show"...well worth your $60.95 pere month extortion that Slime/Porner or Bombast sucks from your checking account each month...message to Frank: doubling your money is OK....but screwing some pathetic rube out of their just reward for saving an object from the landfill is bad...just bad...I can only imagine how you'd behave if some other video-douchebag wasn't recording your every sleazy move on videotape...hi-def exploitation...good thing the gilded-scumbags at Hizztorry-Dizzzzcoveree Network are paying you $300-400 thousand a year to create this quasi-hizztorry fertilizer...how about an incestuous, prison-based, info-mercial about Jesus' tax problems?
