3D Printer-Show NYC April, 2015

For any and ALL of you 3D printer enthusiast out there, I wanted to post my “3D Printer Show Photos.” The show was held in Manhattan, (New York City) at the Jacobs Javitz Center, between April 16th and April 17th. Somehow with ALL of the life real life issues going on I’m surprised I was able to make it to the 3D Printer show. To me it seemed just “O.K.” especially since I’ve been to the Jacob Javitz Center for other venues and this seem quite small by comparison.
Keep in mind,
1.)     I was still impressed by a lot of the machines out there!
2.)    3D PRINTING IS STILL NEW TECHNOLOGY!
Even though people and companies are out there in full force showing you what can be done and what has been done “This Technology Is New” so things are not perfect yet.
Anyway please enjoy the photos and if you were there or if you see something that looks cool feel free to comment.
Take care,
Milt

Crisis Mode???

After a good family function this weekend we arrive home to bad economic news.
It seems that because of the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in New Jersey, my better half's (and everyone else), “Extended Unemployment Benefits” HAVE BEEN CUT !!!

The last date for extended benefits will be July 7th.

Up until this time we were not worried, hearing that other people have been out of work for a year and still collecting. By the way my better half has been actively seeking a new job for over 18 months. She started looking before she got the layoff, or “down-sized” notices. She's been to the city (New York City) looking for work, and she's has even applied for work at our local grocery (ShopRite, or Wakefern) knowing it would be more than 50% pay cut.

To me, this is nuts… a person that had her own business for over 20 years,
(25 actually in the hair products industries) went back to school and changed careers to become an Administrative Assistant and has done that for over 10 years and she can’t even fine work as a check-out person or whatever they call the people who take your order, or money.

I can’t imagine what everyone else that’s unemployed is going though right now.
