Old Home with Cracked Pipe


Just a post regarding getting some work done at my house...
Turned out to be more than just a blown wax seal. After I cracked open the sheetrock to see what was really going on in my ceiling I decided to get some help instead of trying to do this myself.
The work required could have been on one of those "This Old House episodes" ...
The elbow was totally pitted and cracked, the connector was old brass and the new PVC needed a special seal to fit into the existing connector/cast iron pipes. Tested... no leaks. now just waiting for the spackle and sheetrock to dry.
